| Where can DynaFlex be used? |
Product Description
DynaFlexTM SC is a tamper resistant security sealant. The product is designed to achieve high tensile and tear strengths, abrasion resistance and an average ultimate hardness of at least 55, yet withstand 25% total joint movement. As a result, this rugged but flexible sealant is ideally suited for use in institutional and correctional complex security installations. It also performs equally well in other public buildings and facilities where ordinary sealants are damaged or torn out by idle tampering and acts of vandalism.
DynaFlexTM SC is a unique one-part, non-sag, tamper-resistant elastomeric STPU joint sealant with many of the strengths of two-component security sealants but with the user-friendly ease-of application properties of a one-component sealant.
DynaFlexTM SC is more flexible than epoxy in composition and is available in 10.1 oz. cartridges in two colors: limestone and tru-white. |
Where can DynaFlex be used?
- Change in plane expansion and contraction joints:
- Floor to wall
- Head of wall
- Inside corners
- Fixture perimeters:
lights, mirrors, sinks, etc.
- Door perimeters:
Frame to wall, gypsum, concrete block
- Window perimeters:
Frame to wall, gypsum, concrete block
- Glazing:
Glass to frame/ Laminated Lexan or Plexiglass to frame
- Exterior expansion joints in building facades:
Masonry, Pre-cast, Block, Concrete
- Interior seams:
Steel, Srainless Steel, Masonry, Window Frames, and Fixtures
Priming
Security caulking requires exceptional adhesion, particularly in containment areas like inmate cells, etc. Since the sealant's higher hardness puts extra stress on the bond line, P-75 primer should always be used on porous substrates to obtain the proper adhesion. Steel, aluminum, polycarbonate and glass should be primed with P-120.
Limitations
The sealant should not be used where it may come into contact with food products. Nor should it be used in areas where it may be subjected to harsh chemicals such as acids, strong alkalis, ketones, etc. |
