Overview

Hex nuts, also referred to as finished nuts, are the most versatile and widely used nut design. Grade 8 nuts are made from steel with a maximum carbon content of 0.55%, a minumum manganese of 0.30% and a maximum sulfur content of 0.05%. Grade 8 finished hex nuts are used with bolts with a minimum tensile strength equal to or less than 150,000 psi.
