5/8"-11 x 3" Grade 8 Hex Head Tap Bolts, Fully Threaded, Yellow Zinc Plated

Grade 8 Tap Bolts are hex head bolts threaded up to the head, with a machined point and a fully threaded shank. Tap bolts are used instead of a stud and nut, designed to be driven by a wrench or pneumatic tools for ease of installation. Grade 8 tap bolts are commonly used in automotive and fleet industries where greater tensile strength is required than can be met by a grade 5 tap bolt. Tap Bolts have tolerances similar to those of cap screws and essentially serve as fully threaded cap screws. Grade 8 tap bolts are offered with a zinc yellow plated finish.
