Tuff-Edge Polyester Web Slings

Tuff-Edge Polyester Web Slings

Expect longer sling life and lower overall costs when using Tuff-Edge III slings. Resistance to the two properties that can rapidly degrade webbing, abrasion and edge cutting, is greatly improved with the use of Tuff-Edge II webbing. Although you should always pad and protect synthetic slings from load edges, normal wear and tear should be greatly reduced when using Tuff-Edge II, giving you greater sling life and reduced sling costs.

The patented design changes to the body and edge of our new Tuff-Edge® III translate to a softer web with increased abrasion and edge-cut resistance. Introducing the Edge Damage Limit (EDL) out-of-service marker. The EDL marker tool both simplifies the inspection process and also extends the life of the web slings, saving you money.

Whenever sling damage is concentrated along the edge of the webbing, the sling may continue to remain in service until the damage has reached the EDL black line marker, assuming the sling is otherwise in good operating condition.

2X Stronger After Abrasion, 2X Better Edge Cut Resistance

Saves Time and Money

Special polymer-coated edge yarns improve edge cutting and abrasion to extend sling life
Silver-colored web treatment fights abrasion for additional sling life
Tuff-Tag provides required OSHA information for the life of the sling, not just the life of the tag
Easy identification - silver body, blue edges, blue center stripe

Features & Benefits

30% more resistant to edge damage than the Tuff-Edge® II webbing.
A tubular edge design with a damage-resistant core helps protect the body fibers from cutting, keeping the integrity of the sling intact without compromising its strength.
Edge Damage Limit (EDL), out-of-service marker aids in sling inspection (refer to TEIII Web Sling Safety Bulletin).
Soft twill weave body.
Improved handling characteristics with no coated edge yarns.
Easy to identify by the blue tubular edges and EDL marker.

Type 3: Flate Eye & Eye

Flat Eye slings are very popular and can be used in all three types of hitches. They are easier to remove from beneath the load than sling Types 1, 2, and 4.
