USS Flat Washers are thin, flat, circular steel parts with a centrally located hole designed for assembly around a bolt or screw, between the bearing surface of the fastener and the part to which it is attached.

Their primary purpose of flat washers is to distribute the load evenly over a larger surface area when used in conjunction with bolts or screws. Additionally, flat washers play a crucial role in preventing loosening caused by vibration, stopping the bolt or screw from pulling through, and can also serve as spacers.
